What is a headrest ?

A headrest is a padded support that you find at the top of the back of a seat, typically in cars. It has two main functions:

Comfort: Provides a place to rest your head, especially for passengers on long journeys.
Safety: More importantly, headrests act as a head restraint in a collision. They help to prevent whiplash by limiting the movement of your head relative to your torso in a rear-end crash.
